There were many advantages about Rome's geography. First, the mountains on both sides protected Rome from invasion. Also, the Mediterranean Sea made long distance trade possible. Last, the Tiber River provided fertile soil and water for irrigation.
Some disadvantages were isolation, invasion from Mediterranean, and the temperatures were lowered by all of the bodies of water.
This affected early Romans' jobs and homes.
